Rose Fishman, Gail Fishman and Sharon Steinberg gave an oral history interview together for the Jewish History Project on October 28, 2001. Ruth was born in 1913 in New York City. During her youth she met her husband Sam Fishman during a vacation and when they were married she moved to Waterbury. Sam was born in Waterbury and he owned a store called Fishman's that sold fabric. Ruth speaks about life in Waterbury and what it was like to be Jewish. Gail and Sharon are her daughters.
