Ribbon medallion badge for Filii Veteranorum, or "Sons of Veterans", a fraternal organization aimed at preserving the history and legacy of Civil War veterans. The rectangular bronze pin bar, with a brooch pin fastening, reads "Filii Veteranorum" in raised writing. A red, white and blue silk ribbon hangs from the pin bar with a metal medallion at the bottom. The medallion features the Sons of Veterans emblem with the linked "SV", an eagle perched atop a laurel wreath, crossed cannons, and an inscription reading "Gratia Dei Servatus MDCCCLXXXI". The back of the medallion has linked "ASV" framed by a belt motif inscribed with "Filii Veteranorum". Also on the back is the maker's inscription: "Pat. June 27, '82." 
Condition: Fair. The ribbon is detached from the pin bar. Tarnished.
