Ribbon Medallion Badge for a 1905 Fourth of July Celebration. The celluloid and bronze pin bar, with a brooch pin fastening, reads "Asst. Marshal". The back of the pin bar has the patent information in raised lettering: "Pat. Oct. 1892. Mar. 7 '93." A red, white and blue silk ribbon hangs from the pin bar and has writing stamped in gold, reading "Citizens' Fourth of July Celebration 1905 Waterbury, Conn." The manufacturer's name and location are stamped in gold lettering on the back of the ribbon where it is stitched to the pin bar: "Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, New Jersey". A celluloid and bronze medallion hangs from the ribbon. The medallion features a drawing of the Liberty Bell and its surrounded by a punched metal frame. The back of the medallion also has the manufacturer's name in raised lettering: "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J. Pat. Applied For."
Condition: Good, lettering on ribbon faded.
