Two identical metal pins. The pin bar reads "Washington" in front of the letters "G.A.R." in red, white, and blue. The back of the pin bar has the manufacturer's stamp: "Schwaab S. &. S. Co. Milwaukee" and a brooch pin fastening.
Hanging from the pin bar is a metal pendant with the Capitol Building in raised relief. Around the central image, a frame reads "36th Nat'l Encampment / Oct. 6 - 10 1902." Above the central image is an eagle sitting atop crossed cannons. On either side of the central image are raised reliefs of soldiers in profile (left is army, right is navy). On the back of the pendant is the manufacturer's mark: "Official Souvenir / Schwaab S. &. S. Co. Milwaukee." 
G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) was a fraternal organization of Civil War veterans.

Condition: Good. On one of the pins, the left ring suspending the pendant is missing.
