Metal G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) pin. Pin bar has "G.A.R." in raised lettering with scroll motifs on either side and has a decorative punched border. The pin once had a ribbon on the bottom, but it is now missing (a scrap of ribbon is still attached to the back).
GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) was a fraternal organization of Civil War Veterans.
