A summary of the first of the Frederick Lee Lectures in 2015, titled "The General's Residence," and given by Yale-educated architect Chad Floyd. The lecture concerned a home built in 1730, which passed through the hands of notable Madison residents such as Captain Edward Griffin, an infamous character, and General William W. Harts, a distinguished Corps of Engineers officer who oversaw numerous monuments in Washington, D.C., and served as a military aide to Woodrow Wilson during WWI.
