This "Electric Snack Server" is an electrically heated dish and operated on the double-boiler principle. Food placed in three one-quart glass dishes could be cooked on high heat or kept warm on low. For cold foods, the server could be filled with cracked ice. (An earlier version - No. 90048 - did not have a "high heat" option, and was intended only as a food warmer.)
This electrically heated appliance is circular in shape and has three food compartments fitted with one-quart food containers (or casseroles) each with a "Step-down" style cover. The server is made of chromium and the handles, knobs, and feet are made of walnut. The food containers are Pyrex glass. An electric cord attaches to the heating element in the side.
