Bill, Audrey, and Roy Walzer sat for an interview for the Jewish Oral History Project on May 15, 2001. A hard copy of the transcript is available at the museum upon request. They begin the lengthy interview by discussing how the family came to the United States and Waterbury. The conversation them moves to the mattress business that was in the family and got them involved in the Waterbury economy. Bill talks about where he went to school and the various odd jobs that he was involved with after leaving the business. the conversation then shifts to the family's observation of Jewish traditions and Bill's service in the Air Force. They also talk about the Flood of 1955 and their involvement with the Jewish and non-Jewish communities in Waterbury.
