Tax Collector's Book for Town of Madison, inscribed F.C. Bartlett, Tax Collector. Front pages include description of his authorization by the state to collect taxes and for what purpose, subsquent pages list names on grand list and tax assessment. Pencil notes, calculations and inscriptions. 1885 -1889, 1891-1892; 1885 volume is leather with folder over front flap , 3" x 5", others are 4" x 6" with Bartlett's name on front cover. Two blank receipts laid in 1887 volume. 7 volumes.
