Typed transcription of original 8 page handwriten letter from J. Rodger Hull (no relation to Madison's Hulls) to his mother describing his family's harrowing experience and escape at a rented Madison beach cottage during the Sept 21, 1938 hurricane. Letter was written from Scarsdale on 9/24/38.. 7 1/4" x 10 1/2 letterhead paper, both sides. Typed transcription by donor.
