One of a set of three painted "fancy" chairs in a Greek klismos design. Painted acanthus leaves in Greek revival style. Chair is painted to imitate rosewood; gold and black bands outline crest rail. Rear posts, front and rear legs and front stretcher are turned; side and rear stretcher are plain. Seat is caned and was once painted; (see 79.24.1 & .2); OH:31"; OW: 19"; OD:21"; SH:171/2".
