It is likely this fabric was produced specifically for this dress. The skirt is embellished further with insertion panels of orange crêpe. Originally there were 9, but 8 remain.
The slip is made of champagne-colored chiffon; the straps are of ribbon. It is cut perfectly straight to match the dress. The snap closure is located at the side.
