One page, faded/yellowed paper,  9.75"x15.25", 5 horizontal folds, 2 vertical folds.  Handwritten in black ink, address on an outside section with remnants of black seal.  Small tear on righthand side, obscures some words in letter.

Discussion of various banks in the area (Norwich, Jewett CIty, etc) failing.  Discussion of deaths and sickness- Mr. Nathan Brown's death, and Mrs. Collins and Elizabeth sick.  Much discussion of God and Heaven, and quotes from scripture.  Discussions of death and God's salvation.  Discussion of the recipient's (Charles Meech) rejection and rebellion to "a just and holy God".   Also mentions "Zion"
