Letter opens with Annie noting that she would have written before this point in time, but she is only one person and does not have enough time in the day. Discusses her letters to other family members and friends, as well as the goings-on in town. Notes lots of new cousins, nephews and nieces being born. Notes in general most people in good health. Notes family members going to school, as well as who teachers are. Also notes handing down old jackets of Charles' to younger family members- "he wears every old jacket of yours that he comes across and prizes them highly"
