A glass vial of Spirit of Peppermint. Produced by the Van Horn and Sawtell Company in New York City. The company was acquired by Johnson and Johnson in 1917. The vial is vertically rectangular with a circular lid with a tab on top. A film of an black liquid is still present in the bottle as of October 2023. Part of a traveling doctors medical kit owned by Dr. Jerome S. Chaffee. founder of the Sharon Hospital.
