Surgical scissor with curved tip. Produced by the Van Horn and Sawtell Company in New York City. The company was acquired by Johnson and Johnson in 1917. Part of a traveling doctors medical kit owned by Dr. Jerome S. Chaffee. founder of the Sharon Hospital. 

Donated to the museum by Kathryn M Heacox, who's Husband, Edward O Heacox, received it from its previous owner G. S. Gudernatch, who received it from its original owner Dr. Jerome Chaffee.
