Cardboard box with a wooden frame probably for trinkets or handkerchiefs, 1880s. The top of the box features an image of blue/green swallow or chimney swifts (birds) with fence wires attached to a wooden post along with white ceramic insulators. There are flowers along the bottom. Top is outlined in brass-toned paper with an embossed design. The sides of the box feature a Far East- influenced floral paper. The box is lined with a glazed paper with a punched lace trim around the inner edge. A sticker (called "scrap" in the Victorian era) of a peach has been adhered to the center of the inside of the top of the box.
