Cotton handkerchief with a plain weave ground that is proportionately small compared to overall size of the lace-trimmed handkerchief.  The handkerchief is trimmed with 2 3/8" wide cotton bobbin lace consisting of a plain "net" border plus an edging lace with a scalloped edge.

"Maria Beecher" is written in the center of the nadkerchief body.  Iron gaul ink.  Original to Maria Beecher.
