Cotton doily with a silk floss scalloped embroidered edge. An inner circle is created with a pattern of pink flowers and green vines. Design is probably a commercially printed pattern. Evidence of printed ink design can be seen at flowers edge. A piece of paper is sewn on with the inscription "made by my Dear Mother when she was seventy-three years old". The reverse of the paper states, "by Miss Beecher's mother Maria Brooks".
