Wheeler, Miss Emily (previously owned by)
One of five bills pasted in a notebook, along with Confederate money and Chinese money. Note typed on the front of the notebook says "Gift: Miss Laura Wheeler". Note on frist page of Colonilal money says "Colonial Bills, Presented by Miss Wheeler". However, the 1911 inventory says that the bills were a gift from her sister, Miss Emily Wheeler. For that reason, the bills have been accessioned with a saparate donor number assigned to "Miss Wheeler". $7 bill that says "Seven Dollars, Philadelphia, printed by Hall and Sellers" Back has one circle enclosing a drawing, and the individual number "98724" handwritten on it in brown ink, and is signed. The date is May 9, 1776.
