Digital scan of original black and white/sepia toned photographic print showing 1123 Windsor Avenue built in the 1880s by the Cook family [MT: not sure where this date/name came from]. The photograph is a panorama of the house and outbuildings on the property showing land later developed as Wilton Road. The donor retains the original print from which the digital scan was taken by Wayne Dombkowski for the Society in July 2008.

The property was owned by George Russell Ford (1823-1945) and his wife Alice Mabel Dillon Ford (1871-1925) in the early part of the 20th century through approximately 1930's. The Ford family raised prime beef cattle and sold the meat to grocers in the Hartford area. The Dr. Edward and Louise MacDonnell family lived in the house at least between 1960 and 1983. MacDonnell was a dentist.

Originally was dated 1890-1910, but the town property card says 1123 Windsor Ave wasn't built until 1915. 1913 city directory shows a George R. Ford living at Sta 21, which was approximately on Windsor Ave near Park Ave., the location of the current 1123 Windsor Ave. Ford isn't in the 1911 city directory, and land records show he bought the property in 1912.
