Ledger of accounts kept by Nancy Sargent Pierson, wife of Dr. William S. Pierson of Windsor, CT. Entries dating between August 5, 1843 and July 25, 1863. She itemized expenses for clothing and fabrics, magaines, benevolences, cash to her daughters, etc. At the end of the volume are some loose pages dated July 15, 1843 - July 1, 1863 which record rent payments. Tacked to the inside back cover of the book is a paper which reads: "Rufus Paine Spalding x Nancy Sargent Pierson were married February 11th 1859. Copied from the old Family Bible at Windsor, Connecticut, Tuesday June 4th 1889 by Nancy S. Spalding" and the back of this slip of paper reads "Rufus Paine Spalding died Sunday morning Aug. 29th 1886" Marbled paper covered boards, lined pages, quarter bound with leather. 6.25" x 8"
