Unidentified Salted Paper Portrait

Salted paper photograph of an unidentified man, probably part of the Mills or Phelps family. The sitter is probably in his thirties or forties. He has short hair parted to the left and a neatly trimmed beard. He wears a suit coat, grey wool or textured vest, white shirt and gray bow tie.

The photograph is oval shaped. The walnut frame and mat have been removed in order to preserve the photograph: see Notes
