Medium sized rectangular gold finished tin, with lid which has been previously sealed. Located on the right side of the lid, the date, "11 62" has been stamped in black ink. The tin lid reads, "CIVIL DEFENSE ALL PURPOSE / SURVIVAL CRACKER / 62 CRACKERS PER POUND / MINIMUM NUMBER OF CRACKERS PER CAN 419 / INGREDIENTS: Wheat Flour, Corn Sugar, Vegetable Shortening, Salt, Leavening with BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole), propyl gallate and citric acid in propylene glycol added to preserve freshness. / NET WEIGHT: 6 3/4 POUNDS / NATIONAL BISCUIT COMPANY / GENERAL OFFICE, NEW YORK, NY / MADE IN U.S.A."
