Black and white Geiger counter model 3007A made by Dosimeter Corporation. Includes added black plastic shoulder strap attached to handle for carrying. The device has a white metal painted front with four variations of knobs. One knob is red plastic and is located on the bottom left, while the other knobs are black plastic located in the middle of the device in a row. One of the black plastic knobs is a switch, the other is a turning knob and the other is a plug. Between these three black knobs and the one red knob, there is a small black plastic switch. The top of the front of the device is a chart with a hand, for the amount of radiation found. This chart is encased behind glass with a black plastic rim. The bottom of the front of the device is a black plastic handle which extends up. This handle also serves as the holder for the radiation sensing probe. The probe is made of metal and would have been removed from the handle and held in the user's other free hand. This probe connects back to the device through a rubber cord, and plugs in to the bottom right on the front of the device. The other sides and the back side of this device are black metal and are plain other than a few stickers. The left side of the device has two white stickers. The first one reads. "CALIBRATION / BY __ jrc / DATE __ 4.29.97 / NEXT CALL DUE __ 4.29.98" . Notably, the words of the sticker are printed in black ink, except for the word, "Jrc" and the two dates. "Jrc" and the two dates "4.29.97" and "4.29.98" are hand written in black ink. Another white sticker to the right of the previous one reads, ""9704-004" in hand written black pen. Another sticker, located on the opposite side, the right side of the front of the device is also a white sticker in black printed ink. This sticker reads, "dosimeter / 201-887-7100 / MODEL NO 3007A / SERIAL NO: 9704-004".
