Pair of buttonhold scissors, marked by J. Crookes of Sheffield, England "J. Crookes" and their heart and pistol trademark. The heart and pistol mark was assigned to Jonathon Crookes in 1780 and in 1827 the firm changed to "J. Crookes & Son."
