Shriner's Hat, Burgundy felt with Arabic No 40 and a logo which combines a scimitar, intersecting a horseshoe, surmounted by a pharoah's head in gilt, bronze, orange white, yellow and blue paint, above a star. Lettering and logo are of paste gemstones, most clear, some accents of green and red gems or pearls. Lettering is outlined in gilt metal thread.Hat is topped by a felt ring from which a black cord tassel emerges. Tassel is fed through a crescent shaped holder appliqued to the hat. The crescent is made of clear, green, and red gemsones embroidered onto black felt. The gems are outlined in gilt metal thread.
