Letter dated Sept 11, 1878 Hartford from H.G. Loomis, C.E. to Sidney H. Hayden [H. Sidney Hayden], T.W. Loomis and others regarding a plan and an estimate to raise the old roadway and build an embankment, culverts, etc. for the proposed Loomis Insitute property in Windsor. The proposal takes into account the desire for pleasing views and landscapes for the school as well as the need for drainage control on the low lands so near the Farmington River.
