Hand sewn, 19th century petticoat. Approx. 1" wide linen waistband with an approx. 8 1/2" band of brown cotton shirred onto the band, and an approx. 30" piece of brown silk attached to it. The silk portion of the petticoat is lined and hand quilted to a printed pink & white, soft cotton fabric. The petticoat is bound at the bottom by a 1/2" brown velvet hem. The upper 3/4 of the quilting is done in diagonal lines followed by two horizontal rows of stitching and the bottom section is done in three rows of half circles. Full skirted.
