Account book of Elihu Marshall. 1769-1820. 14.5" x 6.5" x 1.5" Elihu Marshall. Very worn brown leather covers with writing that is difficult to decipher. Fair condition with portions of pages cut out with scissors. Written entries from 1769-1820. Deals predominantly with farm work and products. Many Poquonock names like Marshall, Phelps, Griswold, Holcomb. One page (between pages labeled 98 and 99) has unrelated entries, like "Germany in Europe", a paragraph on punctuation and a short prayer, which is probably school exercises. Loose papers in this book have been placed in the Old Document Project.
