Salted paper portrait of an woman identified as "Mrs. Mills" on a duplicate image (1986.75.507). The subject is seated in profile on a mahogany carved with roses on its crest and upholstered in a floral pattern. The subject is middle-aged and is wearing a dark silk dress and white bonnet. The bonnet is white lace or silk ruffled to fluff at the side of the face. Large white ribbons attach to the bonnet and are not tied.
