Iron/Wood
Each fork has a 3 x 5'' wooden handle attached to a 3.5 or 4 inch metal element. Where the metal component and wood attach, the metal is as wide as the wood, the neck becomes thin with an elongated diamond shape. The neck widens into the prongs creating a ridge. The prongs have a curved appearance. Each fork has 3 prongs. On the smaller fork, 2003.28.6.2, one prong is shorter then the other two. On the larger fork, 2003.28.6.1, one outside prong is bent inwards. On the metal portion along the base at the neck are pitted markings.
