Clarence Bissell read before the Colonel Jeremiah Wadsworth Branch Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution on March 31, 1914 entitled "Daniel Bissell of Windsor, the Revolutionary Spy." Daniel Bissell was one of several persons and places of historic merit in the Hartford, Conn. area being considered as worthy of permanent memorials by the Society.
