The 7 Savings and Loans Shares for the Windsor Historical Society are an off-white thick paper with a green border. The central image in the top register is of an eagle spreading its wings enclosed by 2 sets of Ionic fluted columns supporting a pediment with "Incorporated under the laws of the United States of America" printed across the top. The capital building is behind the eagle with a setting/rising sun, bay and city-scape in the background. In the foreground the eagle is perched on a rock with leaves and below him he is surrouned with leaves. Underneath the bird "Windsor Federal Savings and Loan Association Windsor, Connecticut Investment Share Account" is printed. The central register states the contractual information between the Historical Society and Windsor Federal as well as the amount of the share and date. The bottom register is signed by the sharing and loan president and secretary. Each share has 2 creases running vertically, indicating it was originally folded into thirds. The back side is divided into thirds with the left section having the circular "Federal Home Loan Bank System" seal. The central section states the orginazations involved, account and certificate number, amount and dates issued. The right portion is the "Transfer of Share Account and Membership." Each certificate has a dated stamp running across it stating it has been cancelled.
