Side Chair
1780 – 1800 (Earliest/Latest dates)
Three shield back side chairs. One seat upholstered in brown, pink and blue fabric. The other two seats upholstered in a blue-green fabric. Tenon on side seat rails pass completely through stile. This construction is the same as the method used by Eliphalet Chapin, East Windsor, CT in 1780's.
At least two chiairs marked "Rhoda Phelps 1802" on the seat bottom.
