Footed, pear-shaped teapot. Squat, bulbous form with flaring top and bottom. Cyma-curve spout -- opening is misshapen. Handle set off from body from cylindrical supports; elaborate C-curve with upturned upper terminus; upturned thumbrest on handle. Hinged, stepped dome lid, topped with wooden disk finial. Incised bands encircle upper and lower portions of central bulbous section. Handle and spout are darker in color (handle may be replaced). Base has a flat insert, maker's mark: "R. DUNHAM" in serrated surround on bottom. Lathe marks visible on body.
