Piece of the Plymouth Rock

Small piece of the Plymouth Rock donated near the founding of the Historical Society. A pebble-sized piece of rock with accompanying description of its origins. Plymouth Rock was moved to a protective site in 1921, and the moving process left lots of small pieces that people collected and sold. The Society's piece entered the WHS collections as a symbol of the founders of Windsor who came from the Plymouth area in 1635.
