Flemish scroll chair with caned seat and back; top part of scroll missing; minimal wear although a touch on front stretcher; new pins in places; feet in excellent condition; chair marked "v" under stretcher.
Previously owned by her grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Hayden (Mrs. Mary Ann Ellsworth Hayden, niece of Oliver Ellsworth). Photographed at the Society and published in "The Phoenix of Hartford Insurance Companies" booklet in the 1960s, probably 1965
