A letter to Mr. David Nichols of Georgetown, Connecticut, sent from Harriet Renard with New Rochelle, New York postmark. Letter reads:
"Dear Parents and child,

I was worried because you did not wright [sic] before and thought you was sick the reson [sic] you did not right [sic]. I was so glad to think you are all well. Do try and keep so you did not right [sic] half the particulars nor half enough about everything, how does Ella and George get along [illegible]. She seme [sic] to think mutch [sic] of him you must go down and see them when you can. I want to here [sic] how they get along. Your father talks of coming up to see about the rent next weak [sic], how I do want to see you all. I have had 3 letters from Glen and they are all about Jana, he says when all is [illegible] he is a thinking of you he sent some of his hare [sic] in a letter. I expect for you I expect you will be mad but you must not be so folish [sic]. He says he keeps that pece [sic] of your red sack yet he says it is a getting [sic] verry [sic] dirty but he menes [sic] to keep it and my husband and but is going up to your [illegible] this evening hour. I want the time to com [sic] for you to come down, try to help granma [sic] all you can be careful and not take cold a going to school. How is granma [sic] uncle and how is grandpa’s difficulty don’t wait so long before you right [sic] my cough is about the same the rest are all well.

Emma says she wants to see you so bad she’s all the time a talking about you she cried when you went away."
